Antes de convertirse en un prócer electrónico, Matthew Herbert tocó el piano en una banda tributo a Glenn Miller. Y pasó por varias orquestas más. Esa experiencia adolescente reapareció en el impresionante disco “Goodbye Swingtime” de 2003, el registro de The Matthew Herbert Big Band que escuchamos hoy.
